Yes, I kind of stopped blogging for a while there, sorry! I got so busy and involved with school, that at the end of the day I didn't have lots of energy to organize my thoughts and put them down.
Anyways, so what's new...the person who I mentioned in my earlier blogs I was really down about having a falling out with, well, we've made our amends. Actually, we're a lot closer now than ever, we've realized that we are better people when the other is in our lives. So that's definitely a wonderful thing, and I'm really happy about that.
I just survived midterms, but not without a hell of a lot of insanity and a few beers. I'm currently on spring break, but my work doesn't stop just because I don't have to go to class, I've still been studying and doing homework, making sure I have a firm hold on the first half of material presented this semester since the second half and ultimately finals are looming in the not so distant future. I'm struggling a bit in chem, but I'm focusing the hardest on that one during spring break. I've bombed a couple of things in chem class, sadly, but the good news is the lowest test, quiz, etc. get dropped. I've discovered if I read and study it on my own, I do so much better, my professor is chinese and her notes/lectures are hard to understand because of her accent and her poor english. I'm brilliant, but not perfect. It's ok though, I'm still rocking UNM like a hurricane.
Basketball season is upon us, and my UNM Lobos...god. They had a great shot at the NCAA tourney this year, and winning the conference tourney, but they lost to freaking Wyoming in quarterfinals. However, they're playing in NIT, and their first game is tonight, so you know, cheer for them, here's hoping they don't botch this too. As far as the NCAA games go, my team is the Tarheels, my personal trainer and my best friend are huge fans, and I got roped in.
I need to figure out what to do about summer classes. I absolutely have to take a few credits this summer because of when I transferred in, and what classes they did and did not accept, otherwise I won't be able to get into departmental honors. It's completely fucking with what I want to do this summer. I'll figure it out...maybe. Just need to be open to lots of compromise. LOTS. = /
I've been called the whitest black girl on 3 different occasions this week by 3 different people. That amuses me. For the record, I identify as multiracial. Unless there's a minority scholarship involved, then I'm black like licorice. ;-)
I love my EeePC. This thing is just perfect for school, laying in bed writing, going over to a cafe with wifi, basically any of my need a computer on the go needs. And it's not a Dell. Speaking of, I need to take my Dell in AGAIN, because now it won't charge. Annoyed with my Dell doesn't even begin to describe it.
Going to try and be productive, time for laundry and some house cleaning!
